Hosted by PSA 2 Area Agency on Aging, these events help to bring valuable community education to the public on matters related to caring for a loved one with all forms of Dementia. ELDER ABUSE PREVENTION
Elder Abuse Awareness is June 15th of every year and for the entire month of June LTCO collaborates with local partners in all five counties to ensure that there are activities that people can participate in and help spread awareness. Elder Abuse is one of the most under reported crimes and only 1 in 10 cases of elder abuse are reported. Here at the LTCO we believe that Elder Abuse Awareness should be every month and should you suspect elder abuse please report it. It is up to ALL of us to prevent and address elder abuse.
